im about to do the front brakes on my car and was wondering about the copper pads
im gonna put new rotors and wheel bearings in there too
i heard the copper pads will eat the rotors

Never heard of copper pads. Copper is soft. I doubt they would last very long. Buy some Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads.

Any harder brake pad will "eat" rotors. Of course, they don't mean your rotors won't turn to dust in a year! 
How's the ranking go, from stock -> best braking? (Also means from least -> most rotor wear.)
