9 bolt brakes on new ten bolt.
9 bolt brakes on new ten bolt.
The junkyard has a 98 Z28 10 bolts rearend for $500. It has posi 3.4? gears in it. Although it is missing the backing plates and complete brake assembly. Would my 88 9 bolt backing plates, calipers and rotors mount to this rear end?

Wow, $500? That's a lot for an axle without rear brakes. Sure you can't find a 3rd gen 10 bolt, with brakes, for that price?

The backing plates are different but you can redrill them to work.
