Do I need spacers for Weld Draglite 15x3.5's?

The guy I bought my 16x8 Draglites from is ready to sell the skinnies, but he said he uses a 5/16" spacer for them. He also has a 4th gen and I was wondering if I also would need a spacer for these to work? Thanks. Once I get these skinnines on, I guess I can start calling it a race car
