Front end popping......need help

There is this popping sound coming from my front end when I turn the wheels. I replaced the ball joints, tie rods, and idler arm. That didn't fix it. It sounds to be coming from the steering box but it's hard to tell. Does anybody know what the problem could be? Do I need a new steering box? Thanks

I had the same problem. Whenever I would stop or turn at low speeds, there would be a popping noise. I replaced ball joints and bushing and it didn't go away.
It turned out to be a loose brace. There is a triangle shaped brace connecting the front crossmember to the fram of the car. It didn't feel loose when I wiggled it, but I got about two turns on each of the bolts holding it on. (There is a brace on each side of the car). Those noises went away (but I still have a thousand others to take care of)

I had the infamous popping noise in my 91 Z when I bought it (used). 5 shops could not figure it out. Finally, a mechanic started tightening every bolt in the front end he could find. He said they were tight but 'not to specs'. After he tightened all the bolts, the popping went away and has not returned in 2 years.
Tighten ALL the bolts you can find up under there.
