4th Gen brakes on 3rd Gen

I am in the process of building a 86 fbird as a road racer and what I want to know is can 4th gen brakes be applied to a 3rd gen. I know that the rear axle from the 4thgen will bolt up, therefor allowing the usage of the brakes, but what about the fronts.

If they can be used, then would it make more sense to use the larger brakes of the 1998-present f-body? Will these fit?

Thanks for all the help you guys have given me in the process of my build-up (some through the FAQS, some by direct emails).

Any thoughts?

Nope, the 4th gen fronts are not the same and wont bolt up. You'll need thirdgen 1LE brakes, or aftermarket brakes like Baer or Wilwood.
