BellTech drop spindles
Anyone have these..? How much $$$? Also how about their other lowering parts like the rear springs and shocks - anyone know the price and how well they work...?
Thanks

Ken
Thanks

Ken
Mine is a funny story.A fiend of mine originally bought them for his 89 TA. A few days earlier he just put on his NEW 255/50/16
Comp TA's.He put the spindels in with Hotchkis lowering springs. When he took it for a test drive he found that the cars plastic upper fenderwell was rubbing the hell out of his new Comp TA's.He took them off right away.
The speedshop where he bought them($300) wouldnt take them back cause they were "mounted",so he was out the $300. I begged him for WEEKS to give them to me.Finally after a month he agreed to trade them for a gas genorator that I had sitting around doing nothing that I had gottin for free off of a job site.
I Installed them in my 90 TA that already has a 1.5 spring drop.Knowing that I would have the same problem the 89 had,I removed the plastic wheelwell molding and took a die
grinder to alot of the metal under the fender.I probally cleared another inch or so under the fenders.I rarely bottom out on the
tires/fenders, its mostly the front end that scraps.
It looks good with "NO" gap between the front fenders and the tires

700 canadian bucks. I'll agree on the wheel alightment, my wheels were pointing in opposite directions!!!
Lost a little on the turning radius but thats it.
Go for it

I see this way. If you have stock springs you should be alright. But there are people out there like me to take it to the limit. My spings are cut and I upgraded my struts to KYB's. Replaced the bump stops also. So I have about .25 inches if that. I had to bend up the sheet metal under the fender well. I try to avoid pot holes and steep driveways.

Use the dropped spindles, and then get the Morrison Coil over conversion. Really nice.
Then adjust it so the ball joint is about an inch lower then the center of the inner bushing. Add all the caster you can -1/2 camber and have fun

I was thinking about getting a stiffer spring that would not change the ride height. Not sure what is different but something changed when the car was lowered.
Stick springs in front, belltechs in back. I have about half and inch of clearance which is good enuff for me.
