How to Plant the rear on launch

I recently had a posi and 3.73s installed and I took my car and my bro's 5.0 Stang out for a test drive at an industrial park where I live. I noticed that even though we both can spin all the way through first pretty easily, my brothers car launches a LOT harder, even though the tires are spinning. I also watched my brother launch and his rear seems to plant the tires into the pavement. Mine did not do this. I'm assuming this is due to the Mustang's suspension, so I'm wondering what I need to have the rear push the tires into the ground. Is there a single suspension part that is responsbile for this or do I need to do the whole rear suspension to get this "planting" effect?

Any help is appreciated,

Jason

LCA relocation brackets will push the tires into the pavement much harder. Good tires are a must.

Ohh>>>>>do I have the cure for you!!!!
Traction action bars from JEGS. I just asked what people thought yesterday, but I found out how they work AND THEY DO WORK. They come w/ LCA's and the bars and are fully adjustable. Cost=$200. This will solve your problems my friend.

hey, Chevyboy, I've read several posts here that the "traction-action" bars (Lakewood) look real nice........and that's about it. I agree with Craig in that the Spohn setup is THE way to go. I've done some shopping, and there is not a better deal to be had!! Do it right, and spank the 'stang

Hmmm........maybe it's not so much the rear suspension you need to work with. I found it to be more rewarding if you work with the front suspension. It's got alot to do with weight transfer when it comes to hooking.
Any thing that can be taken off the front to reduce weight will help. 90/10 front struts help a great deal. And then I'd check into getting some loose springs for the front.
Before you go to drastic with the front you need to think what you want to do with the car though. If you road race and like hanging to the curves go with what they have said. But if you love to drag race loose the sway bar, swap the front struts out and relocate the battery to the back. That alone will hook the car better than lca's. But then again it depends on what you want to do with the car.

If your talking about the South Side Machine set up it was soo bad I took it off after several hours. The car would not corner at all, Absolute *rap.

Herb Adams Reese Bar is the best but no longer made

LCAs have nothing to do with any leverage to plant the rear tires, shortening the torque arm does that, but it lifts the rear axle when in heavy braking,

Find a Reese Bar set up, if you can
