Yeah long tubes and lowering don't mix.. 26 to 26.5 seem to be a good lowered street height IMO.. Looks wise and ground clearance wise.

no pics as i removed the engine , but mine sat so low me and my dad had the get out while it was in gear and push/lift to get it over a wallmart speed bump , when the front tires are flat the nose touches the ground , its a trans am with the front grill things , and it looks bad *** , wish i could drive it like that , btw i have 14`s on it , for now , also theres less than 2 fingers width between the trunk floor and the ground the way it sits now

Roamaver how does your car ride with those Hotchkis springs? I'm thinking about buying them for my car. That's a really nice IROC you have.

Do your research on spring rates before you buy. Hotchkis IIRC is only like 600# springs in front. I believe that's close to stock.

It feels maybe a little bit more stiff than stock. Barely even noticeable really, but I thought the car felt good with stock springs as well. The air dam under the car scrapes a lot now though lol.

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of lowering my 82 and was wondering what height some of these are. Also, what size are your wheels. Not sure if I should go 18's or 20's.

Any help/pics would be great

Car looks good!
Before you do your wheels, go on a search and destroy for rust. Keep that nice car under you.

Thank you! Yes the stance is way better than before. Below some pics of how the car sat on the old MOOG springs. It wasn't sitting too high either, so lowering it a bit with good springs does the job well.

Just got my weight jacks installed... Still trying to get them all evened out how I like them. It's surprisingly hard to find perfectly flat ground to adjust them on.

You can see my PHBRB and LCARB and rear adjusters here... Note the Y-pipe from my long tubes. You can see the collector flanges on either side of the transmission shining in the light.

And with my autocross wheels on...

No I didnt . I followed the concept of another member on the board , and redrilled the rims . Changed the lugpattern to Chevrolet . I also had spacers made to get the width I preffered , and equipped them with lugs aswell , so I could fill the 5 spareholes with rimnuts . These aftermarket rims got 2 different lugpattern and I didnt like the idea of empty holes :-)

No I also have founders 1" raised strut mounts with additional 1" spacers and 1" extended ball joints. I still need more strut travel and crossmember to A-arm clearance so I'm getting drop spindles and shorter struts.
