The first picture is what it was before i put the other springs on.. as you can see for where i live WAY to low. The second pictures are with the springs i JUST put on (1half and an 8th) and they are a bit better. Did i lower to much again? Let me know what you guys think

Took it out for a drive lastnight with the second cut springs i put on. It rides freakin awesome! doesnt bottom out on the driveway or big bumps on the road and rides really stiff yet comfy. Here are some pics for others to see.

Looks good. I know when I did the 1/2 & 3/4 coils cuts, I wanted it just a tad lower, but I didn't want it bad enough to take everything out again & cut them again.

I know what you mean, it got pretty repetitive assembling/disassembling the brakes and taking the springs out to cut. Right now where it sits is perfect for anyone goin for a good country/city suspension, the rear is 26 inches from the ground and the front is 25 so an inch difference isnt bad at all i wanted atleast a little rake.

Did I cut too much? Should I bevel the bottom of the spring or will it seat ok? I don't want to ride too low. driveway is on a hill and already had to replace one air dam............

Well from my experience having gone through a good set of front springs just to cut another set just so my car would be even.. yea a coil is a little to much. i cut 1/2 a coil and then cut an 8th more and it was perfect. Only thing that scrapes is my T56 spohn crossmember.

Just thought id add the T56 crossmember is poorly designed, so if you were to make the same cuts on the springs you wouldnt have my problem.

?So I cut too much? If I screwed up, no problem. I can buy new ones. But somebody let me know before I go through the hassel of putting my beast back together......... Any second opinions? Thanks MParks.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Lowered 3rd Gen Picture Thread (Post Your Pics Here)

sittin on drop spindles and ground control weight jacks...i have it set higher than I would like it to be aesthetically, but at this height, I can drive it HARD and not worry about scraping horribly and damaging fenders etc. I did have the front fender lips rolled. Id like to go a little lower front and rear. Not the best picture but this is all i have at the moment

i don't think you cut too much. i have v6 springs with a full coil cut off them. i want the car even lower, but don't have a way to lower it without killing the ability to weight transfer (drag oriented car) without spending more money. i have 3" dual exhaust and don't have any issues with scraping.

Eibach pro-kit, kyb struts and shocks, and spohn A-arms. My car sits too low, I may have to put stock springs abck on. My sruts are sitting on the spohn strut bumpers.
I love the look but hate the ride...

I have to say I really do like the 91 92 16" wheels with the black center. I wish someone would make a set of 18" ones that I wouldn't have to pay an arm, leg, and kidney for.

Can someone help me out. I want to lower my car but every bump I hit it rubs on my fender lip. Running 18by 10.5 with 305 35's. Using 2 inch spacer. Tried 1.5 then it rubbed the inner.

Whiners! I'm 6'5" and my car is DROPPED about 2'/2.5", No t-top & I have never hit my head getting in our out..

58mark is 6'7", not lowered & no clue on the head hitting, but I feel short standing next to him at the Texas Gathering a few months ago!

Ryan....Measure your cars height from the top of the fender lip to the ground. Somewhere I have the stock heights. I'll find it & come in here. Judging by what I can see from the angled pic of your car though, it isn't lowered or maybe just 1".

I measured mine and it's 25 1/4 front and 26 1/4 for the back. Has anyone found the stock ride height.

Axle/Gears: Limited Slip 3.23's
Re: "OFFICIAL" Lowered 3rd Gen Picture Thread (Post Your Pics Here)

I've read, but never been able to verify, that ride height is 27 1/2. My car was originally in that range.

I had the same problem so the fender liners are gone, which doesn't matter because the car doesn't see rain.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Lowered 3rd Gen Picture Thread (Post Your Pics Here)

hey sickness91z28 not trying to bother you but is there any way you can give me a parts list for the mods you did to your car. It's "SICK" and it's the closest I've come to seeing one the way I want to do.

As for the Air Ride Suspension, I've got about $3,000 grand in it. As for the wheels, I've got about $4,000 in them

The air ride was pretty much a bolt on kit through Air Ride Technologies. I think I purchased it from Summit Racing a few years ago when the new digital systems just came out. I went out of my way with the installation too...meaning, I gutted most of the interior, hiding absolutely everything, including the air lines, valves, computer, air tank....everything. I installed the computer in the console glove box as well...that ways it's clean and easy to get to. I also located the main control unit where my HVAC controls used to be. Super Clean and accessible that way.

Thanks!! I'm currently converting a TA into a Camaro, always wanted a challenge!! The plan is to have a look very similar to yours but to have it on 18" irocs. Yours is lovely!
