If you cut them, you'll raise spring rates (making it stiffer) which is what i've read a good thing with these springs as they tend to be a bit soft for a high performance handling car.

so had someone put 4 new springs on and two rear shocks. is it posible they switched something cause my front is to low and my rear is to high. here is the best pic for now. they put the thiner longer spring in the rear and the short fat one in the front. is this correct? will new struts raise my front any? cant drive it its so low. less then a half inch from fender. if someone can help me out ill post better pics. they are drop zone 1.75 front and rear. but if anything it raised my rear and extremly lowered my front.

Well....It is IMPOSSIBLE to interchange the fronts & rear springs.

For the rear......If you put in dropped springs, the old stock springs coulda been so worn out, they were sagging so bad, that the dropped springs are actually raised the car. Lower than stock, but higher than it was.

What is your ride height at the fender lips to the ground? Here's mine & it is a daily driver.

Thought so... just didn't know if somehow someway they figured it out. Not sure the fender height will get that tomorrow. I'm running 17 by 9.5 with 275's and a 2.5 inch spacer.

Did you buy lowering springs for a V6 car & put them on a V8 car? If they are V8 springs, were a few coils lopped off? Those are the only ways I can think of that your car is that low. You sure the fronts are even IN the car? Is there ANY suspension compression there? Struts only control up & down motion speed, they don't support any weight, so new struts won't help you any.

I would look into why your front end is that low. Something is definitely not right.

They are brand new dropzone springs. There suppose to be for a v8. Just contacted the company I got them from hoping something will come of it. They are for sure in it with no coils cut off. So well see...

Looks good didn't slam the front like mine. But the rear still looks high. Mine is worse than before.

How much do dropzone springs lower the car? And did you keep the spring isolators in there? Also, any weight reduction in the front end? It looks quite low to me in the front! How high is the ground height to the fender height (in the middle of the fender)

I don't understand why the rear isn't as low as the front of my car...DropZones advertise 1.75" drop on both front and back...

The mechanic who put them in said it's going to take a week to "settle". Does anyone know if that's true? I'm happy with it's stance, just curious as to why the back is a little higher then I was expecting it.

Ahhh.. Yeah it does take a bit of time to settle.. Took me a bit more but i put on stock MOOG iroc springs (very stiff) and the car was JACKED up for about 2 weeks! I also put in 4th gen spring isolators by accident so it's quite a bit higher than stock was.. But I'm putting on 2" Racecraft drop spindles and Koni yellows (relocating battery to rear and will cut rear springs to match the front after all weight has been re-located) so it should look real nice and low and handle even better when all that is done.

Drop zones are 1.75 lower. The back of my car sat high also. I just took out the isolators and put heater hose over the first coil.I probably got another 1/2 drop in the back by just taking out the isolators.

That is for their 2" drop spindles. They weigh slightly less than stock (8.4lbs total less weight) and that is unsprung weight on the front of the car which is good. They work with stock steering style system (steering box, NOT R&P) and stock or aftermarket brakes.

How wide are your z06 wheels? If they are the 9.5" version, they won't work with the drop spindles (unless you want to run MASSIVE wheel adapters which will push your wheels out past the fenders) because they will hit your outer tie rods.

I have the drop zones on my car. The ride nice and they lowered the car to a perfect stance. I bought mine off of ebay. You cant beat the price. $113 for all 4 shipped to your door.

Every little bump I hit it shoves my inner fender up and rubs my tires. They claim that v6 and v8 springs are the same. I got mine off eBay to. And my rear is about 4 inches off rear tires.

Dosent help that you have the wide wheels and a 2" spacer. If your rims were closer to stock width or you just didnt have the spacer you probably wouldnt be rubbing in the front.

I strongly recommend against anyone using dropzones. I highly regret putting mine in. Look a few posts above to see pics of my car. The front air dam was literally only 1 inch from the ground. It was hitting the ground on every little crack on the road...it fell off last week on the way to work -.-

I'm in the process of ordering some Eibachs and a new air dam.

Eibach sportlines are the way to go. Takes about 1000 miles to settle tho.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Lowered 3rd Gen Picture Thread (Post Your Pics Here)

I had Eibach Pro-Kit on my '93 Beretta GTZ... The ride was nice but I didn't think it was low enough; then I put the Sportlines on my '04 SRT-4 and I barely made it 1000 miles before I put the stock springs back on - The Sportlines rode like total junk - CLEARLY the Pro-Kit is the way to go, they are for performance whereas I think the Sportlines are purely for a look (a look that apparently means bouncing down the road and scraping everything in sight).

AFU jack the car up and look at the springs. It should be written on them.

They are pro kit, thanks for the advice!I didn't think it would be as simple as it being written on the spring itself.

It would be great to see the distance between the center fender lip and the ground (height), that way we can compare you guys' measurements to our cars because I find it difficult to judge the height by eye from pics.
