Transmission: none at the time
Axle/Gears: stock 10bolt v6 gears
How to drop the K member
we decided to drop the k-member and paint it, move motor mounts, and stuff, so can someone please give us some advice on how to do this on a 3rd gen?

The engine is sitting on the k-member. Remove or lift and support the engine off the mounts. Remove the brake lines. Disconnect the ball joints. Disconnect the steering linkage from the pitman arm. Unbolt the 6 bolts and it should all drop down.
It helps when you have the wheels, brakes and spindles off as well.

These vertical 3 on each side:

The ones near the spring pocket, the 3rd is inside the bracket just behind the lower arm mount. You can just see the head in that pic
On ws6, gta's and irocs there are 2 triangular brackets bolted between the crossmember and the side frame rails also

definately not as easy as i thought. Its still on the car. I cant get anything to budge that needs to. But i'll get it eventually
