If you are not familier with the problem, it is when the forces exerted on the frame by the power steering box elongates the holes through the frame that the bolts go through, which adds a lot of slop to the steering.
What kind of shop would I take my car to to fix this problem, and how much do you think it would cost? I dont have any welding skills, and I want to to be done right so it doesnt happen again. Thanks!

 

Try a body shop or a welding shop. In any event the box needs to come off then clean the mounting area and inspect the cracks. At the end of each crack a small hole needs to be drilled. This is to stop the crack from spreading later. Then weld the hole you drilled as well as the entire crack. Grind the weld down smooth, paint the area and remount the box.

 

the part about the box causing slop is something that i have never heard of, is this a common thing because i have slop in the steering and it was leaking fluid and i took off the belt and i still have slop but obviously no leak

any ideas>
