Alot of problems at dragstrip yesterday
I put BMR adjustable LCA's and Adjt. Panhard rod on saturday nite . When I installed them I just adjusted them to the factory peices as a start and left it . Sunday at the drag strip was miserable . On ET streets it was like I was on pure ice . I blew the tires off on every pass almost . 60's were averaging 2.0 to 2.4 , at the end of day I was able to eek out a couple 1.76 60's but I still wasnt hooked up . All the drag radial cars and race cars seemed to hooking fine so I'm thinking maybe I did something wrong putting the stuff on . When I put the p.rod and lca'a on I tightened the bolts while the car was in the air . From reading today it looks like I shoulda left the bolts loose and tighened the bolts with the wheels on the ground . Will the way I installed them have that much negative affect? I was also told I shouldn't adjust the LCA's w/out an adjustable torque arm because it will bind up the suspension , is there any truth to that at all . I do have LCA relocation brackets to put on this week so hopefully that will help some .
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated guys
Thanx

Well it's hard as hell to work on those parts of the car with it sitting on the ground...
Put the car on 4 jack stands so the it's level; 2 under the front frame, & 2 under the axle tubes. That will put everything in the normal ride attitude and let you tighten the hardware with everything in its normal position.
The length of the LCA doesn't change when you jack the car up, so the above procedure won't make any difference to that. And if the rear was centered under the car with the stock Panhard bar, another one set to the same length shouldn't have changed that.
Changing the LCA length with a stock torque arm won't bind anything, it just won't have any effect at all except for changing the wheelbase of the car by moving the whole rear end front to rear. To change pinion angle you have to have an adjustable torque arm.
LCA relocation brackets help out A WHOLE BUNCH!!! I put a rear in my car this weekend that I had installed a set onto, I can't believe how much better it hooks. I already had a Spohn torque arm and some Lakewood LCAs, I guess the brackets (also from Spohn) were the missing piece of the puzzle.
