Clunking noise from LCA's?

I had BMR Fab. LCA relocation brackets installed, along with BMR LCA's and a Panhard bar yesterdy. The LCA reloc. brackets are weld-on's. The car seems to have more bite than it did before, but now I have fairly loud clunking noise that seems to be coming from the LCA's. I tried to move them around (LCA's, brackets, and panhard rod), but every thing feels snug. Any suggestions as to what happened? Thanks!

Check your sway bar mounts. They may have snapped loose. Mine gave way turning a corner once. You really cant see that they have broken unless you are looking for them. With the car in the air, it becomes more apparent. Check it out.

You are referring to the rear swaybar, correct? I'll check it out. What do I do if that is the case? Thanks.

The BMR LCAs, what type of bushings do you have? When I put on GW spherical bearing LCAs, you'd better believe they're loader.

If the rear sway bar (yes) has given way, check the end links at each end. All it is, is a bolt with bushings sandwiching it to the body. The bolt usually rusts and breaks, leaving the sway bar end smacking up against where it was originally attached.

Any parts store will carry the replacement kits. They aren't performance bushings though. More than likely they will be OEM. Cost reflects that; usually in the $15 range to replace both ends. Be sure and replace both ends even though only one may have broke. I believe the kit comes with enough to do both ends but I may be mistaken. Its been a few years. SUPER EASY install!!

I havent had a chance to take a look at what is wrong (I was on vacation, I posted from the hotel room!), but I am sure it isnt the rear sway bar. The day the noise started, I took my car in to get new rear tires, and I checked it out while it was on the lift. I glanced at the swaybar, and it lookd like it was fully attached. I am taking it to the shop tomorrow to see if they can see anything wrong. Thanks for the help, though.

Almost forgot, I got poly/poly bushings. It isnt a squeaking noise, but a loud clunk, kinda frightening when driving 80 mph down the freeway!

Sure it's not a broken trans mount and worn torque arm bushing? I had a friend's car that had that problem, similar to what you're describing. If it is torn, get a polyurethane mount...they never tear.

UPDATE:

I took my car back to the shop that put on the LCA for me, and the guy said the jam-nut had come loose. He didnt know why that was causing the clunking, though. He tightened it up, and everything was fine. I drove home, and when I turned onto my street, the clunking returned. I am assuming its the same prob, so I am just going to tighten it up, but how can I get this to stop? I dont want to use LocTite, it will defeat the purpose of the adjustability. Any suggestions?

It sounds like a broken tranny mount to me. I have the Global West lower trailing arms with the spherical bearings and they do clunk some, but not on the highway...
