I have a convertible camaro and I've looked at countless manufactures of sub frame connectors, and all of them say not for convertibles. My car needs them really bad (the flex is driving me nuts). Do any of you know where I can find a set and from which manufacturer?

Only two brands will work for a ragtop. Alston's or Kenny Browne. you can get Alstons at Internet Racer's Supply: (www.racenet.net). They call them their "Terminator" series, but they are in fact Alston SFC's ans usualy drop ship directly from Alston. I can't find Kenny Brownes web page at the moment, but I will post it if you still need it. Good luck, Lon.

From what I recall BMR's are perimeter mounted and interfere with the stock convertible reinforcements behind the gfx.

according to the the IRS site, the terminators *do not work with convertible models as they put it. It works w/4th gen convertibles, not third.

Unfortunately, the kenny brown site (kennybrown.com by the way) was about worthless. It didn't tell me **** about them. I emailed them asking if it will work, but it didn't look good from the pictures. They all seem to follow the same path.

I found the BMR's don't work with my car. They are perimeter mounted and affect ground clearance and the reinforcements.

I noticed that IRS changed their web site. It always incorrectly stated that they won't work for 'verts. But they are only one of two that will (so far). Call IRS. They may still have some 3rd Gen ones available and just not be advertising them on their web page any longer. I have other friends that are planning on installing Kenny Brown SFC's on their third gen 'verts. Do a search on this web site archives. This topic has been discussed before. Alston's are available directly from the mfg as well, but I don't have their web site bookmarked.

FYI, someone in our local club just ordered a set of Alston's for their ThirdGen from Internet Racers Supply by calling their toll free number. And YES they fit convertibles. I have them on mine.

I put the Jeg's SFC on my 89 convertible. They were a perfect fit, no problems with the installation.
