Wilwood Adj Prop valve. Where in HELL do you find adapters???
Wilwood Adj Prop valve. Where in HELL do you find adapters???
Jeez louise! I've looked everywhere for adapters to install my prop valve and it's just a no-go situation. Am I the only guy that has bought this prop valve and actually attempted to install it? I'm trying to fit it into an '88 Trans Am with metric fittings - and that seems to be the rub. Any help or ideas would be great because I'm at my wits end...

Although I don't have a part number I'm sure Moroso sells adaptor kits for people who want to install line locks the same way. I saw a mustang kit and on the label there was a part listing for camaros. I never grabbed the part number though.

Tried Napa, tried Pep Boys, AutoZone, Advance, Industrial Connectors, Compressor shop... I used the Moroso (or maybe it was the Hurst kit) Install kit for my line lock - worked great for the line lock but it didn't have the needed parts for the prop valve. I'm bummin. The problem seems to lie in the fact that you're going from metric (the original fittings) to standard threading (IIRC) on the prop valve - and it's a pretty big size difference as well.
I may have to start hitting some import shops <shudder> to check their metric stuff.
Thanks fellas,
Steve

The simplest thing to do would be to cut the metric fitting off a few inches from the end, and store it safely in a box somewhere; flare the line to a std size; get a flare union and a short stick of the right size line to go into the valve; and make an adapter section.
