Biggest rims.... Help me out, would ya?

I am looking at some 17x9.5's right now, and am curious as to how big I can actually go without having to change anything else and without any rubbing...
If the 17x9.5's will have any trouble, I'll just go with some 16's.....

Any info on this subject would be helpful.
The car isnt lowered, nor will it be. I like it the way it sits right now. Im going to put some MOOG springs in it eventually. They should be really close to stock ride height.

Do you guys know of anyone who sells a springs that sit 1/2in. lower? I have heard that there isnt anyone. Thats why I am not dropping it.

Any help would be nice!

In the rear you can run 17 by 11's with an adjustable pan hard bar. or you can run 9.5's all the way around with 4.5 inch back spacing. It's close but even lowered 1.5 inches they don't rub.

I'v heard a lot of people say they can run 11's rear 9.5 front's,they are on crack i have 17x9.5x5.5 backspacing rear 17x8x4.5 backspacing front and could not go any bigger at all, originally I bought 17x9.5x5 backspcing for the rear and tour up the side wall of brand new tireson the fender lips and my car isn't lowered(lucky I didn't have a high speed blowout on an offramp)I then had to shell out another $500 for the right rims.Everything works great now

on Car Crafts '91 z28 they said to use 5.5" back spacing for 17x9.5 and 4.5" for 17x8. They put on American Racing Torqe thrust 2s
