ES Sway bar Busing Size for 36m IROC swaybar?

I just picked up a massive 36mm IROC swaybar, but cant find bushings for it. I want to use Energy Suspension greasable swaybar bushings, but the largest one they list in Jegs is 1 1/4 (~31mm), and I need 1 7/16 (~36mm). I checked their website and the largest I saw was 34mm. Will those work? What are you guys with this swaybar using? Thanks!

Hey Scott, I had the same problem with my IROC, someone else on this board turned me on to guldstrand engineering, they have the 36mm bushing, it is not the greasable type but it is polyurethane and comes with a tube of poly grease. The part # is G01-109Q
their # is 818-558-1499 or www.guldstrand.com
I have a set and they seem to be just right.

Can a grease zerk fitting be installed in the stock bushing housing? I would really like these to be greasable.

Scott, I don't know about that, the bushings I have on the rear sway bar is 25mm
and it is greaseable, the zerk fitting lines up with a hole through the bushing and there are small channels in the bushing where the bar goes through that hold the grease, but I have not heard the pros and cons of the greseable and non greaseable bushings but from looking at the ones on the rear bar I see that they can become quite dirty and will require regular cleaning, I think it might just be a personel preferance, don't know, but I think if you use the lube provided with the non greaseable ones I don't think there will be a squeaking problem
if thats what you are concerened about. But I
have not seen greaseable bushings in 36mm, if you do I would like to check them out also.

That grease is a pain in the *** . Guldstrand gave me a bigger tube for my sway bar bushings than they did for my control arm bushings. I ended up using all the grease on the control arm bushings since I don't want to take all that BS apart just to grease them. I'll have to order some formula 5 prelube from summit for the sway bar bushings. It says right on the energy suspension tube "Formula 5 Prelube". Seems like good stuff, when you get it on your hands you know its there for about an hour. Good luck.

Scott, you might consider the higher duometer 1LE/WS6 insulators from GM. They're quiet and the ride won't jar your butt to the bone. Should anyone be interested in 36 mm front/24 mm rear 1LE/WS6 type stablizer bars, see my ad in the classified.
