My relay rod on the grease fitting on one side didn't take grease one time a long time ago and popped the shell outwards. I'am as we speak putting all new tie rods and ball joints on it. Otherwise a complete rebuild, new lower ball joints control arm bushings the works. I popped my relay rod off last night to get a better look and to replace the bad part.
1st- I didn't take off the idler arm, so the position is the same on it.
2nd- Is any of those ball joints on the relay arm replaceable or do I have to replace the whole thing. And if I do will the relay arm line it's self back up with the new one
My chiltons book says they go to great lenghts to make sure of alighment.

Kevin - to my knowledge, I don't think you can replace just that one part - I think you'll have to replace the whole relay rod.
When you replace it, it will line back up right where the old one went. Since you didn't remove/move your idler arm, that's a good thing, cuz you shouldn't have to reset the height on it BUT I would still check it.
Other than that, of course, you will need an alignment...

The centerlink isn't serviceable. It must be replaced.
