Lakewood drag shocks - how streetable??

Right now this car is still driven on the street often, and sometimes pushed around the corners quite hard.
But I'm trying to get the most out of it at the dragstrip, and someday it will be a "strip only" car. So I'm thinking about the Lakewood Drag Shocks to help me at the track, but I'm wondering how much it will affect the car when I drive it on the street.
So if anyone has any experience with these shocks could you let me know what you think of them for both street and strip applications?

Thanks,
Mike

90/10 shocks are not recommended for the street at all. You can get them in 70/30 for street and strip.

I'm still running stock shocks and struts.

I just purchase a set of adjustible drag shocks from summit. I purchased the summit brand and they are either 50\50, 60/40, or 90/10. All you have to do to change the ratio is by compressing the strut. good luck

I've never seen a listing for 82-92 Summit front drag struts. How are you supposed to easily compress them to change the rating once they're installed in the car?

I drive my lakewoods on the street, But honestly wouldn't recommend it. They will beat the **** out of you, Any bump you hit, thet don't compress, you bounce. As for cornering they won't compress any, If you try powering around a corner the rear gets loose in a hurry. Get them when your car is ONLY a strip car.

Later

to adjust your front strut, you have to unbolt the top cap, compress the strut, then turn it one or two clicks then attach the strut. Summit has the front drag struts for $28.00

Thanks for the replies guys. From the info you've given me I think I'll wait until it's a strip only car.

Thanks again,
Mike

I've just ordered some drag front struts and rear shocks today. I'm getting Koni SPA1's. They're still not recommended for the street and they're better than 90/10 struts plus they're adjustable.

I don't think those ones from Summit for $28 are struts. The Lakewood "struts" are about $100. $28 will get you a shock, not a strut.
