Do reluctor rings in a 4th gen rear need to be used in a 3rd gen?

Im looking at a rear outa a 99 Z28 and the guy said it has to have its reluctor rings pressed back on, but those were only used for ASR and ABS. Since I have netiher, do I have to worry about getting these back on? And if I do how much of a pain is it gonna be?

Thanks, any help is appreciated!
