How do you change front springs?
I just got an Eibach Pro Kit for my car, and am hoping for a few suggestions on putting the front springs in. I just got done doing the back ones and am hoping to do the front ones tomorrow. I'm going to replace the front struts too, so any info would be VERY helpful, and the sooner the better. Thanks.

SPRINGS: You will need an "internal" coil spring compressor (rent at a parts store). It can be a pain to get it up in there and hooked on right, just be patient. Tighten that sucker down til the spring becomes loose in it's seat. Unbolt the control arm from the steering knuckle and lower the control arm down and remove the spring. Make sure you have your car jacked high enough to allow room for the spring to come out.
STRUTS: Support the control arm with a jack and loosen the top mount bolt (under the hood) and then remove the brake line bracket from the strut. Next, remove the 2 large bolts that attach the strut to the steering knuckle. Pull the strut off the knuckle and compress it slightly and it'll drop right out of there. You do not have to remove the rotor to do this... Put your new strut in and torque the bolts. I believe the bottom bolts torque at 142 ft.lbs., plus 120* turn, and I can't remember the torque on the top mount bolts. There is a tech article on this site, so you can check that out... Good luck. Also, you will need an alignment after replacing your struts...
