Whenever I've dropped a 3rd gen, none of the rubber isolaters went back in, front or rear.

the front only has a little thin rubber washer anyway, so you can put a heater hose on it, but it wont chance the height at all.
the rear is the same as a 4th gen, so the heater hose will lower the car about 1/2-3/4"?

Re: subtract isolaters and add heater hose to rear springs?
Yes
I have had the "hose mod" done to all my cars....It really helped my 4th gen since i have 19" c6s out back and the rake was far too much.
It also helped the cornering of the car since F-bodys were not designed to have staggered height wheels at all......
I did get 3/4'' drop from this mod
