I want to put new springs in my car after all the trouble I have been having. I got new after market springs put in and the front ones are great put the rear is saging already and the spring rate is pathetic. It bottoms and tops out. I have tried a bunch of different shocks but it comes down to the fact that the springs suck.

I was wondering what are the highest lowering springs(sounds weird)and will the car start chewing tires because of improper camber adjustment? I also have heard that Jamex springs are not that hot. Any tips from people would be great. I have been reading past threads but I want a little more info before I decide. THANKS!

If the camber adjustment isn't right, just have it corrected. The camber is adjustable and you can get it perfect on a 2 inch drop. What kind of springs did you get? Drop springs decrease suspension travel and will cause your car to bottom out more. You may want to cut the snubbers to increase suspension travel.

I have factory ride height springs right now and I am not sure I want to drop it? The rear are sagging slightly.

I see, drop springs tend to be stiffer. Do you have alot of stuff in the back to make it sag(stereo stuff)?

I have a pretty heavy sub box but I take it out and there is no difference. It rides the same and the height is the same. I was just concerned that I couldn't adjust to counteract the camber. I don't mind a really stiff ride.

With a 1.5 inch drop on my 82 I can adjust from -.75 to about +1.25 degrees of camber. Lowered cars like a different alignment:
-.5 camber
+4.5 caster
-1/16 toe
works really well for a hard driven street car--even tire wear as well. I've done alot of third-gen alignments with those settings.

Thanks 82 Camaro....you gae me a lot of good info. What springs would you recommend to give me a minimum drop. I want something that won't sag.
