help! severe wheel hop

I took my car to the strip last night and the rear axle was bouncing so badly it rattled my brake light switch right out from under the dash. has anyone had the same problem or any ideas how to fix. car is a 87 firebird, 350 crate engine, 5 speed, 3.27 posi, 275/50/r15's on the rear, stock susp.

That's an easy fix. Just put on some LCA Relocation Brackets. I had the same problem.
Put those on, problem solved and my car handled better in turns. BONUS

Mods: Threw 2.8 in garbage, put in rebuilt
350 .060 over, XE268H Comp cam, Edlebrock
Performer Intake and Edlebrock 600 CFM Carb,
Pete Jackson noisy GearDrive (which sounded
cool for about 5 minutes, now I'm sick of it)
Rebuilt TH350, 3.42 Rear Gears. LCA RLB's.

I also found out I had an internally broken shock and my tranny mount was pretty much ripped in two but I think will still try the brackets

Hello fellow Canadian,
I ordered Steve's LCA without the relocation brackets and the difference is night and day. The car feels very tight in the corners and the wheel hop is totally gone!

There was a magazine article published back a little while ago that solved this simply by replacing the stock LCA bushings. Much cheaper than the entire LCA. Just a thought ;-)
