Rear Brake Upgrade ??

In the tech artice on upgrading the rear brakes, it gives part numbers for plates for a 9-bolt rear-end. When I put the part#'s into gmpartsdirect.com, they come back as invalid. The 10-bolt #'s come up, but not the 9-bolt. Can anyone help me? Has anyone else done this on a borg-warner 9 bolt rear?

You interested in a set? I just sold my 9-bolt and I still have the plates you need to put the big brakes on the 9-bolt. Shoot me an email.

I have done the swap, you need to find them used, gm only sells the one side, the other iside is no longer available. I found mine for 50 bucks and they are the updated ones because there was a recall on the first set up. So the new ones that i got are alot lighter.

I thought all the 9 bolts had PBR disc brakes? Am I wrong about that?
I am trying to do a rear brake page as well. So I just want it to be accurate

Right bracket for '89 9 bolt with PBR aluminum calipers is PN 10136851. That's available. Poughkeepsie Chevrolet
here in NY has 2 on the shelf. $44.
Left rear is pn 10136852... supposedly discontinued. I'm looking for one myself right now.
Crap... missed out on a set of plates by not being in the right place at the right time...

AndyZ28: The PBR's only came on 9-bolts on '89's.

Thanx for the info Brian.
Does anyone have the original box that 10136851, or 10136852 came in?? If so please reply on the 1LE board (Spohn Performance).
