Proportioning valve

Where is the proportioning valve located on
a 1987 IROC with drum brakes, and do you keep the same location when converting to
rear disc's?

The valve is the odd shaped piece of metal under the Brake booster that has 6(?) lines coming out of it. It stays in exactly the same place. Are you replacing the Booster and master cylinder assemply too?

Is the valve located below the master cylinder in the engine compartment? I don't
plan on replacing both unless I have to.
Thanks

Below the master cylinder with 2 lines from the M/C, 2 lines to the front brakes and 1 to the rear. There's also a single wire on it for the pressure differential warning switch.
