Proportioning valve differences
I purchased a disc rearend for my car and got the proportioning valve and master cylinder to be safe. My car is a 89 and so was the car I got the parts from. Turns out, GM changed the thread pitch mid year and the valve I bought won't work. It was the first design where my car has the second design. Just thought I would let you guy's know in case you run into the same problem.

If you will "search" for this subject here on the third gen board. You will see that I along, with others. Have discussed this subject to death. The discussion was very informative though. I personally learned a lot.

I did "search" the archives and did not see anything about the difference in the thread pitch on the 1989 proportioning valves. I was just trying to let people know about this difference. I wasn't trying to beat a dead horse. I saw alot about the proportioning valve differences, but nothing about the difference I am speaking of. I was just trying to be of help.
