possible to flex a front tire off the rim?

I was taking a exit ramp today as I have done many times before, maybe a little faster this time and the front tire pushed bad and felt and sounded like it was gonna break the bead on the tire,it flexed bad.Is this possible,.and is it a tire problem or just the tires limit?I havnt had this problem before. They are goodyear z rated tires, stock size. They are kinda old but have good tread.thanks

Check your inflation pressure. Sounds like you rolled over onto the sidewall of the outside front tire. For a mix of street driving that includes hard cornering I've found that around 34 psi works OK without giving drastic center of tread wear rates.

thats what it did.I check my pressure everytime I get gas and checked it after this happen and they are what they are normally.I run 34psi. could the tire be bad. This happens only with hard right turns only, not left.I dont drive like this always but when it comes time to Id like to know my tires are gonna do what they need to and not give out.Im starting to think I have a problem with the susp.on the left front.thanks

Time to check your front suspension. If the car has over 100k it is possible for the shock mounts to be very worn and allow the strut to lean over in a turn. If those are ok then you need to check your ball joints and bushings in the lower control arms. If everything checks well then you may need an alignment.

The ball joints, control arm,end link, wheel bearings, tie rods, and the idler arm have all been replaced in the past year.I have never thought to check the strut mounts and will do so when I replace the struts soon.I had it alighned after all this stuff and about 4 months ago and ever since I have wondered if the alighnment was done right and if these mounts are worn shouoldnt thy have seen this during alighnment?thanks
