back sits weird

Ive noticed that the rear of my car, my passenger side seems to sit higher than normal, and the driverside sits lower. In the back ive swaped hotchkis swaybar, moog springs, adj. shocks, and LCAs.

Im wondering if it could be a bad track/panhard bar. but i dont know if that can effect the ride height. and ive checked over the springs and shocks and there good

Re: back sits weird

are the springs both indexed properly, and did you reuse the upper rubber insulater on the driverside? sometimes they fall out, or stick to the springs. you seem to be missing that

the car may sit higher than it did with new springs anyway

Re: back sits weird

no i took the springs out and checked them and everythings there.
i knew the springs would make it sit higher, and ever since i swapped my fourth gen rear in it just seems uneven. there is a 5 finger gap between the wheel well and tire on the passenger side, and 3 on the driver.

it just looks awkward

when i fist started messing with different springs, i was pissed when it wouldn't sit level..... measured the depth of the spring pockets/perches above the axle... one of them was actually deeper than the other causing the spring to be further seated.

i eneded up triming and shiming to make it go away now i got weight jackers, one side is maxed out to the lowest point and the other has 1/2" of adjustment left. i believe the problem is in the unibody itself, a factory flaw..... that or a twisted chassis from abuse. although my mom had a brand new 98 3.8l with less than 2 hundred miles when she bought it.... sat almost 2" higher on the passenger side.

i remember a post a year or so back and pretty much 1/2 the people on here agreed that the one side of the rear sat higher than the other and i think it was the passenger side always being the higher side.......

That is incredibly frustrating. I can't even think of a possible fix.

Re: back sits weird

Mine does the same thing. Its a T-Top car and i put slicks on in once before i had sub frame connecters in it. Yeah not a good idea. It twisted the car enough i coulded open my driver door because it was hitting the drivers side fender. The car has never been the same. We straightened it out a little before i put put the sub frames and cage in it but it still looks stupid from the back.
