Swapping 350 TPI for LT1, need help

I have an 89 camaro 350 TPI and am swapping motor for a 90's model LT1 out of a corvette. Has anyone done this and do you know of any complications? What has to be switched as far as hooking everything up? The motor should pretty much bolt right up right? Need help. Brother says everything should fit from the old motor because they're similar and the TPI should fit with no changes to anything but maybe a little wiring here and there.

Offhand, I'd say the "Suspension & Chassis" forum is just about the wrongest place to get help with motor swaps.

The wiring harness is the big butt-buster. Your engine mounts will bolt to the LT1 block. Your trans will bolt to the LT1 bellhousing. But the wiring won't be plug 'n play, you'll need to identify circuits on both your car's chassis harness and the LT1 engine harness and make them go together.

You're going to need Helms guide for your car at a minumum, otherwise you'll be here begging for wiring diagrams and they vary from year to year. You'll also want a Helms for the platform the LT1 came from so you can re-pin the harness to work with you chassis harness.
