front sits way too high

i got an 89 camaro rs and the front sits quite a bit higher than the back. its got new struts on it from the guy before me but idk if that would cause it to do that. ill try to post pictures tomorrow. should i just cut my front coils down a bit?

Re: front sits way too high

struts dont affect the ride height. The front springa may have been removed and reinstalled wrong, or there was weight reduction in the front, or the rear springs have been messed with ect ect.

any pics by chance?

How many miles on car? Good chance that the rear springs, and shocks are whipped.....

Re: front sits way too high

If he had a big block in it, he probably changed to heavier springs on the front, if it were me, I would replace them w/stock springs...
Is the 350 in the car now?

that probably right, if the old owner did have a big block, they its very possible he swapped in heavier springs to offset the additional weight. now that you have a small block, you have significantly less front weight than before, hence the higher front end

Re: front sits way too high

to me the car sits high all around... you have alot of fender gap..... id replace the springs with eibach pro kit springs.... make sure they are indexed correctly..

Now that i lokk at it, it does sit high, allthe way around, he may have put heavier springs all the way around??? I'd change them all.

Re: front sits way too high

will buying lowering springs improve my handling over just cutting my old ones down?
