Installed poly mounting bushings on front anti-sway bar
I put the Energy Suspension poly mounting bushings on my front anti-sway bar yesterday. My original rubber bushings were pretty bad... not only were the sides peeling off (!), but the opening had worn down into an oval! I didn't expect to see that. Hell, a change to new GM rubber bushings would've made my car feel better!
I don't notice much of a difference during normal driving, and only a small difference at highway speeds. But as soon as I start pushing the car in turns, it's much sturdier. This was a great $14 investment... I should've done it sooner. I already had installed ES's poly anti-sway-bar end links a few years ago; the only thing holding me up on the mounting bushings was the measurement of my sway bars. Good thing I got those dial calipers!
I wasn't able to install the rear 23mm Trans-am stabilizer bar (with the greasable bushings) this weekend. I painted it with POR-15, and the stuff still wasn't dry Sunday afternoon. It's dry now, hopefully I'll get a chance to install it soon- and hopefully someone will tell me if regular synthetic grease is okay!
