I have 36mm front and 7/8" rear sway bars on my 91' Z-28. Should I stay with the stock set-up, seeing that it is bigger bars or go with an aftermarket set-up? I see most companies make 1 1/4" front sway bars, alittle smaller than what I have.

The suspensions on these things are pretty good. A lot of companies use our stock pieces as aftermarket upgrades for other stuff. The only thing that I might suggest is that the sway bar looses stiffness over time, so a new on would help. In this case thought bigger is better.

Those aftermarket 1 1/4 bars are probably solid and your 36mm is hollow. Solid is stiffer, but the 1 1/4 bar is smaller than 36mm so it evens things out. It's hard to get anything better than the 36mm set-up. I'm using a 1 5/16 solid aftermarket bar currently, with a 1 inch rear bar.
