it broke (kinda long sorry)
i was driving with my girl and we were talking so i had the stereo down. and i started to hear a clunk and then since i was listening for it i started to feel it. i thought it was just because my car rides so bad(the whole camaro thing you know) but i realized it wasnt normal. so i pull into the hospital parking lot(well lit) and look, dont see anything, get out the flashlight still no go. so i rearrange some stuff i was hauling in the back thinking it may have caused the clank. (not likely but dont skip the small stuff)
then today i get home and change my oil and while i was under the car i checked over all the components again, and i busted the rear drivers side shock.

that is a bad diagram of the shock, but where the (*) is is where the shock broke. the (O) is still on the bolt on the shock mount and the cylinder is still attached to the floor board. now it just clanks when i hit a bump.
what could have caused this, just too much stress.
and now i have a reason for those LakeWood 50/50s. oh yeah.

There really isn't much stress there. I say its just a bad weld that gave way.

are they the gabriel vst shocks?? if so they have a lifetime warranty if you want to put those back in (doesnt seem like it though)
