replacing sway bar links

On my 91 camaro RS, I have to replace my driver side back sway bar link. Does anyone know how hard this is to fix, and how do you cut the old one out, since its so close to the gas tank.

This is not a hard job. Breaking the nuts loose might be. Go to your auto parts store and ask for polyurathene end link bushing kit. I would also suggest if you have a little time to kill to upgrade the bolt size to a 7/16 bolt. Take the new bolt and one bushing to a hardware store and you want to get the biggest bolt that will go through the bushing and the center sleeve. Once you have the size (i believe it is 7/16, Its been a while) just match the length with the original. now you have to drill out the washers to fit the bolt through. Now just put them on. Its not hard for our cars to break the flimsy bolt that comes with the sway bar end link kits. Thats why I suggest replacing it with a bigger one. make sure the bolt you get is grade 8.

Measure the size and get yourself some solid endlinks(no bolt and spacer, just a solid rod with threads on each end with poly bushings).

350 with stealth intake, holley carb, 470 lift cam. 700r4 with .5 boost valve, vette servo, tci lock-up kit, B&M megashifter. Richmond 3.73 gears, powertrax locker, timkin bearings, synthetic lube. Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, currant red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...

Hey, if you're gonna replace one with a poly, you should replace the opposite end as well. Otherwise, just get a rubber replacement. (Just depends on how cheap you want to be).

The sleeve length should be 2 5/8" for the rears and fronts... $14 from Summit for the ES Polyurethane ones. Check out http://www.energysuspension.com for application info & part #'s...
