I heard they save 25 lbs. off the front end, this true? Also, are their any other benefits?

that sounds like a lot to me, but it may be. with the tubular k member and control arm w/rack and pinion stearing you will save around 175 pounds.

The major benifit of the weight savings is that it is unsprung weight. At least half of it. Now when you hit a bump the weight doesn't have as much force acting upon the springs allowing them to keep your tire planted to the road. Unsprung weight is a major advantage in a cars handeling.

 

It would be cool if there was a "tubular k member and control arm w/rack and pinion steering that will save 175 pounds" and let you use 4thgen wheels and brakes.
