hawksthirdgen roll cage

Hi all! Does anybody as bought a roll cage from hawksthirgenparts? I would like to know if you love it and if you can post some pics of it! I'm planning on buying the one with a notch on the side bars to make it easier to enter the car!

Thanks in advance!

Re: hawksthirdgen roll cage

I bought mine through Hawks. Got the different bars to use factory armrests. Pics in my album in my profile. Let me know if you want some other pics. It wasn't the easiest thing I've done. Did cut into floor to get to LCA brackets in rear to weld bar directly to it instead of big hollow hump in floor. Used other side bars in rear to go all the way back. Used someones idea I found on net.

and did you saw a big difference in the chassis stiffness? Are you satisfied with it?

Thanks!

Re: hawksthirdgen roll cage

Never drove the car without it. It was a V6 car with hardtop. Switched to V8 and T-Top. Used the cage for stiffness. It is very stiff. Tight, no creaks or squeaks any where in the car. They are designed for a tube chassis car but they send plates to mount in the floor to weld the bars to.
