The S-10/S-15 manual box is a direct bolt-in. You could also use the pitman arm but it's got a slightly different bend to it. It doesn't take much to reinstall the f-body pitman arm on the S-10 manual box.

You won't want to use a manual box if you're still running wide front tires.

hey PK long time no see. i put a manual box on my camaro, out of an 80 something s10. direct fit, had to change the pitman arm because there is a slight differance, but i bet you could use either if you wanted.

Re: Manual steering box.

Does your manual box have a 3 or 4 bolt top cover? You want the one with the 4 bolt cover. With the right box, this is a direct swap. Mine was out of a '90 s-10.

Re: Manual steering box.

And you had to find this old thread to dig up? There are many newer threads explaining the 3 bolt, 4 bolt top cover versions.

As stated above, you need the 4 bolt top cover box to be a direct swap. Some people have managed to convert the 3 bolt cover box to make it work but with the smaller sized shafts, it's a lot of work.

It was interesting to see my old sig. Back in 2001, I was only running 11.4's at 119 mph That was with my first BBC.
