need help identifying dana IRS vette rear
I have a chance to buy a irs out of a c4 for $500 and want to swap it in my iroc-z. I know this is custom but it can't be to hard to make some solid mounts and weld up everything. How can i tell if its a dana 34 or 44 rear? RAD won't offer me any help i even offered to pay them just for a little information on doing it, is there anyone else who has done this. There are a few reasons i want to do this, better ride, unique, better handling on rough roads and most important the car will launch better on the street/track with a irs and 17x11 drag radials. Thanks

The Dana 44 has an 8.537" ring gear and 29 spline axles. The Dana 36 has a 7.725" ring gear and 26 spline axles.

I'm not too sure, but I think the Dana 44 has about an 11 inch cover and the Dana 36 has about a 10 inch cover too.
