truthfully.......do you scrape the front end more after youve lowered it? i dont like the 4x4 look of my 91 rs and want to lower it but it scrapes going into my driveway as is.....if you dont scrape what lowering kit did you use? also...would new springs or shocks cure my scraping?

If you scrape now, lowering your car will make it worse. Slow down and angle the car when going up inclines will help the scraping. The only thing that scrapes on mine is the plastic air deflector.

Mine's lowered about 3" and has 45 Series tires, and yes it scrapes. You learn to take driveways at an angle and look farther ahead for obstructions, but I agree, the trade off is worth it in looks and handling(at least for me).

I have the prokit. And I scrape sometimes. Not alot. But I scrape the frontlip. Especially up at the local touge. Some of the turns are very steep. So the front scrapes.

I used the Eibach sportlines, about 1.5" drop. Usually I just scrape the airdam, but about once a month she scrapes up her chin a little. Definitely worth it though. But I wouldn't go any lower b/c it'd be too much of a pain to get a jack under the car.

Drop spindels and performace springs lowered mine 3". I did upgrade the struts, shocks and springs with a higher rate. It doesn't scrape the air dam that much (LOL). I'm just like everyone elce. It a price you have to pay to look good.
ok thanx...mine scrapes like a monkeys uncle at this one stoplight....gets the front spoiler everytime....
anyways.....my car rides like a damned skateboard now...will buying new springs(stock replacements) or lowered ones improve the ride quality a bit? i'd like to tone it down from bone jarring to more of a fat jiggle kinda ride
i also plan for complete poly urethane bushings, new torque arm and LCA(might go with random technologys Super bite system) and new panhard rods

I have an Eiabach Pro Kit, didn't lower the rear enough in my opinion, and lowered the front too much. My cross member is shiny to say th least. You just have to slow down and watch what the hell you are doing I have caome to find out. But, the looks and improved handling are worth it. Anything has it's pros and cons - weigh your options.

I used the JAMEX lowering springs. about 1.5 inch drop. Made the car handle great and gave it a nicer stance.

are those z28 ground fx on that car? are you using the door skirt that comes with the 91's? it doesn't look like it's lining up right if you change those it might work better.
also, how much stereo stuff is in that hatch, your back looks a lot lower than the front. that's a large gap up front for lowering springs. i'm not picking on your car, i was just curious.

I have H&R Springs on my 92 Camaro RS. It dropped my car 1.25 in front and .75 at the rear. Did you all cut your bump stop bushings to ease the ride???? Also do you need to realign the front after lowering??
I used Koni Sport shocks and st springs... replaced all the antisway bars and bushings. handels great. frontend droped about 2" and the rear end realy didn't change alot in heigt. I can out corner every "euro-tuning" car that ever even wanted to race
