WS-6 available in 83?

Was the WS-6 suspension an option for Trans Am's in 1983? The RPO sticker for the car in question is long gone so thats no help. Also, would the WS-6 option mandate 4-wheel disc brakes?

don't think so. Think it started around '86. No disks were an option.

Yep. In 83, WS-6 meant 15" rims. And the sway bars weren't as big as the 87-up WS-6s. WS-6 should have had disc brakes, but somewhere along the line, GM started to use drums on WS-6s.

I just looked in my 83 Pontiac brochure and it reads "Order the WS6 Special Performance Package and get 12.7:1 quick steering ratio, 32mm front/21mm rear sway bars, four-wheel vented disc brakes, turbo cast aluminum wheels and 15" Goodyear Eagle GT steel-belted high performance tires."
