I have run 2.25 in the front of mine for two years and never had a problem. So, I don't think 2.5 will cause a problem. Don't know if 275's will fit. Sorry

Yes, you can run 275/40/17's on your car with the bolt on spacers.
I have 2-1/4" all the way around which work fine for my 16x8 wheels, but when I put on the 17x9.5 wheels it sticks out in the rear a little bit. Normal spacer for the rear is a 1-3/4" spacer.
Here is a pic of mine with the 16x8's, notice the rear wheel lines up with the rear fender lip.
If I have a chance, I'll slap on the 17's on the rear and take a few pictures.

I got my set from VetteBrakes for $353 shipped to my door for (4) 2-1/4" spacers.
the 1-3/4" ones are $10 cheaper per pair.
Comes with 40 lug nuts, 20 to bolt spacer to hub and 20 to bolt wheel to spacer.
Make sure that you give them the hub thread size, otherwise they will send you the lugs to bolt to a Vette. Can't recall off-hand what the thread is.

Thread should be the same on all of them and it should be M12 x 1.5 x 43.
