need new brakes, any suggestions?
hey everyone, i know im asking a lot of questions lately, but as my name says, i am new to all of this...im looking at getting new brakes all around on my car, im hearing a little bit of squeaking sometimes when braking, and i pull a little to the right, which im guessing would be an alignment problem, which is something im taking care of shortly...
so to get to the point, anyone have any suggestions on what brands, and what parts i should replace...remember that i do want to do a complete revamp of the brakes, if not the whole system, even if some of the parts i have are still decent...id rather replace everything now, and keep those other parts as spares...

I'd say definately change the brake hoses... they deteriorate over time, and can either clog or rupture. A clogged brake hose can cause the car to jerk to one side, as could a stuck caliper, but you're probably right about the alignment.
I'd say do a complete "gravity flush" of your old brake fluid for new stuff. Siphon out most of the brake fluid from the m/c... leave the bottom ports covered. Wipe the dirt from the inside of the m/c reservoir with a lint-free cloth, and fill the m/c with new fluid. Bleed the system at each wheel one at a time (first is RR, then RL, then FR, then FL) by just opening the bleeder- gravity will draw the old fluid thru, and suck the new fluid in. Make sure your reservoir doesn't empty itself! The "frontmost" m/c reservoir is for the rear brakes, the "rearmost" m/c reservoir is for the front brakes.
I always use the Bendix semi-metallic pads; MKD-154...
