Hey,
Just wanted to let yall know that I took on the project of home made SFC's and I'm close to done. Just wanted it out there in case anybody else wanted to try the same and I can be any help!

Sounds like a cool project. Got any specifics on what you used, or any pics?
Heh.. you know what I was thinking about doing.. making a homemade STB! Lots of cars come with them stock.. Seems like you could take a stock one and shorten or lengthen it, and you'd be all set!

yea I considered making one similar to the hotchiks one, looks beefier than all get out.
I used mild steel tubing, and 1/8th inch plate. I had a full sheet metal shop at my disposal so I sheered and pressed the brackets, then welded plate from those to the rail next to the LCA mounts, and ran some bent tubing from there to the front, and a cross member section and gusseted it.
Basically its a heavier more "custom" version of what kenny browns look like.

I dont own a digital camera or a scanner...
Sometimes I can get my hands on the one from work though
