Replacement rag joint

I'm trying to find a replacement rag joint for an IROC box.

Does this rag joint fit?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-...Q5fAccessories

Someone told me Larescorp makes a rag joint that fits that box, I'm unsure of which one it was.

Welcome to TGO, Vicinity. You'll find that there aren't too many questions that haven't been asked and answered on site, so a search will generally provide the info you're looking. Check the following link for an AutoZone replacement. Some members have replaced the entire business with an Astro Van or Jeep shaft. Good luck with your project.

Re: Replacement rag joint

Yeah, I've been searching but I couldn't find a part number or a link that wasn't dead.

Thanks.

Re: Replacement rag joint

I believe he used a rebuild kit for that?

Only issue is I don't have a third gen, I'm swapping the box into a 68, so I have nothing to work with. I need the entire part (not just the literal joint).

I really just need the size and spline count of the shaft that comes up from the box (steering shaft?).

EDIT: I believe it's 15 spline. Just have no confirmation.

Since TGO is dedicated to 82-92 F-bodies, you may be better served to check out other sides, such as the following:

Re: Replacement rag joint

I've got a thread on Camaros.net, but I thought I'd check here to see if anyone knew where to get a complete rag joint for a 3rd gen box (the 3rd gen RJ will swap to the 1st gen column).

Re: Replacement rag joint

I got a flaming river DD shaft with solid ujoints on both ends and what a difference in feel compared to the rag joint. You're better off getting solid joints in my opinion.. Been driving for 2 weeks with it this way and I love it.
