New UMI rear suspension kit installed

Went down to Summit racing last weekend and bought lower control arms, panhard bar and subframe connectors. Finished installing the suspension components tonight. Still have to weld the lower control arm relocation braket. Getting it made at work perks of working at a race car manufacturer. Those will come next with the subframe connectors. As for the parts they fit great will post pics tomorrow.

Control arms help prevent some wheel hop.

Nice set up. Did you install the panhard bar yourself and did you have any problems? thanks.

No, I didn't have any problems installing it. I did the whole install up on jack stands. The only problem I had was breaking the fasteners loose. I banged my elbow real good, hurt for a week.

I can see why you didn't have any problems, neither did I when I did mine a couple weeks ago. It went on real easy, although breaking loose the factory nuts/bolts took some doing. Luckily I didn't bang any body parts! I cleaned the bolts and nuts up on a bench grinder wire wheel to make them look pretty.

Hey kbell. We have both bolt-in and weld-in relocation brackets. The bolt-ins are quick to install and you don't have to mess with fabrication. We take care of that for you.

Thanksgiving sale coming up.

Side plates are 2 3/4 x 4, and the back plate is 2 3/4 x 2 3/4. You will also need to use 1/8" plate. Need to weld a plate to the inside of the bracket to get back to the right bracket width. It is also 1/8" plate

Um, like what? I need some lca relocate brackets, and a torque arm relocate bracket would be nice, too.

Re: New UMI rear suspension kit installed

Got the lca brackets in this week. Got them on sell. Hoping to have them put on by the end of the day. Wish I had my freaking sub frames down at my house they would go on as well.
