Rod-ends for B.M.R. Adjustable Panhard Bar.

Okay here goes, I have recently purchased a Set of Eiback Sportlines, BMR LCARB's and now I need a Panhard bar. I know BMR is one of the best on the market which is why I went with them. I have a question about them though.

On Summit Racings website. It says they do not come with the Rod-ends. Which I kinda sorta need. So I am wondering where can I pick these up so I can get all the springs, LCARBS and Panhard bar installed.

Thank you all help appreciated

Re: Rod-ends for B.M.R. Adjustable Panhard Bar.

the bar would be about worthless if it was just the bar with threaded ends and no rod ends for them, since you would also need spacers and adapters to fiut the stock bolts inthe rod ends......

im sure its a typo, but maybe call and ask?

as for rod ends, summit sells rod ends, as does a million other companies. they are probably 3/4"-16 left and right hand QA1 ends supplied with that bar.

You could contact BMR & ask them, but I'd be real surprised to hear that a PHB was sold "empty"/without the rod ends.

What you linked to is a complete version that comes with polyurethane bushings.

What you are wanting is http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BMR-MPHR003R/

AHH I see. But wouldn't I need an adjustible one? Since my car is going to be lowered two inches and therefore it till shove my axle out towards the passenger fender?

Re: Rod-ends for B.M.R. Adjustable Panhard Bar.

It is adjustable. Each rod end adjusts in & out individually. But I recommend NOT going with that style. I have a UMI one & the passenger side rod end is a pain to adjust, because the bracket on the rear axle prevents a wrench from fitting in there on the rod end jam nut.

The Drivers Side adjusts just fine. But on the Passenger Side the mount bolt has to come out. Drop that bar end. Loosen the jam nut. Then twist the bar to adjust the length (Drivers Side jam nut was loosened prior to all this). Get the length you want. Tighten up the Drivers Side jam nut. Pull the Passenger Side mount bolt out. Drop the bar end. Tighten the jam nut. Reinstall the end. Reinstall the mount bolt & nut.

PITA. Not sure there is an alternative though because of the way rod ends need jam nuts on them.

Basically, yeah. Poly instead of rod ends & On-Car adjustable instead of needing to be half removed.

If you can find one with the rod ends welded on the ends instead of "screwed" in & held tight with jam nuts, then it could be On-Car adjustable like the Poly one you listed.

As much of a PITA as the rod ended one was to adjust, in reality you only need to do it one time so it really isn't that bad. Just not what I expected when installing it so it really pissed me off. Once it is on though, you don't need to ever touch it again until a rod end needs to be replaced. So I mighta kinda blew it out of proportion. Sorry about that. PITA, but worth it in/needed on my car.

I'm tucking 315s on a stock 3rd gen 9-bolt & have under 1/2" on both ends, from tire to inner fender, so I couldn't have even the flex in a poly bushing, so I had to run rod ends.
