strut replacement question

strut replacement question
i replaced my front struts. and i just saw an thread saying you have to remove brake pads and rotor. but when i replaced my struts. i dint remove them. but everything came out alright..eventho my suspension still feels like crap...did i do it wrong?

No need to replace brake pads or rotors to do front struts - not sure where that notion came from.

HOW DID YOU TRANSFER THE STRUT TOWERS TO THE NEW STRUTS ? THE SHAFT TURNS WHEN YOU TRY TO BREAK THE LOCKNUT FREE.

impact wrench works well in the garage
i've pulled a few off in the yards by using an allen wrench in the key way atop the strut rod

I think that you read that you had to remove the brake line bracket that is mounted to the strut. I just did mine not long ago. That is the only brake component I had to remove.I also replaced every thing on the front suspension except a arms and a arm bushings. What a difference!!!!
