SPRINGS: Eibach Pro-kit or cut Moogs
My car is a primarily only driven on the weekends and will never see any type of auto-x. Since the roads in MN aren't the best I didn't want it too firm so I purchased a set of Tokico HP struts and shocks. Since the car will only be driven on the street I felt I didn't need any adjustable struts or shocks. From what I have read these are roughly equivalent to setting of a three on the Tokico Illuminas. I'm going to replace the springs at the same time and I can't decide between the Eibach Pro-kit or cut Moogs (5662/5665). For the fronts the Eibach springs are 714lb/in and the Moogs are 706lb/in. To get a 1" drop I would need to cut roughly 1/2 a coil from the Moogs which would increase them to roughly 780lb/in. Would the Moogs be to stiff for the Tokico's? If anyone could please give me any advice I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,

Hey Brandon. I checked Tokico's website and didn't see anything indicating the velocities. Based on experience the Tokico's would have no problem controlling any of those springs on a daily driver. If you can simply install Eibach's and get the ride height you want that may be the better choice since you're not altering the part.
Are you doing anything with the rear springs? Are you adding any sway bars or other parts?
Let us know how UMI can help.

I will be doing the rear springs at the same time. I wasn't planning on replacing the sway bars at this time, I need to do a little more research since I don't know much about sway bars.
Here are the parts I have already purchased.
Lower control arms and relocation brackets
Adjustable Panhard rod bar.
Camber/Caster Plates

Sounds like a good start, Brandon.
After you get the LCA's and brackets/PHB and plates installed, along with your springs, check your balance and how you like the car.
We can help you decide if you need bigger bars, a front or rear only, etc.
Good luck with your build.

Im from winnipeg where the streets are the worst. Im running the pro-kit and can't say enough good things about the ride height. I never bottom out. As for looks imo its perfect, just a bit higher in the rear (1/2''). I was thinking about cutting my stock ones last winter but decided to just buy em! VERY LEVEL from right to left.
